Quadruple Knot



Nature has a way of bringing people together that no act of man can do. We left school with no intention or planned idea to be together afterwards, however, nature made that plan for us by bringing us together.
What we may have thought was going to be just a one-time outing continued to be two, then three and three grew to ten and now its uncountable.
If you ask me, I will say ‘yes I love ma gerls’ – GEE. I honestly don’t remember how we came together to form a quadruple. All I know is that we are! A great quadruple! And this is where I disagree with the theory that ‘three’ is a crowd and so ‘four’ is disaster.
I keep wondering about the very thing that has been the binding factor after several years of leaving the school or the very person who among the quadruple has been the motivating factor to keep us moving on and on and on.
I still haven’t discovered that thing or which person though but I’m of a personal belief that it is God working out His perfect plan for our lives – destiny. I believe God intended for us to be together that’s why we are still bound to each other despite our seemingly differences in terms of field of education and career paths.
Despite our USUAL ramblings and petty quarrels, we are still together. I used usual because it has become part of our very friendship, lol. More like a ritual that we do in the friendship or a form of friendship id. Something that shows that yeah, that’s the quadruple in their elements.
I don’t know how long the GEED will last but I pray it goes unto eternity. Did you say why? Well, it’s because I love ma gerls…

Purple Birthday

My excitement kept growing that at a point i thought i will explode out of excitement as my birthday approached. Deep within i felt some joy that i don't remember ever feeling when  my birthday was approaching. As to why or what i was excited about, i cant tell. All i knew was that, my birthday was gonna be special. I woke up in the morning, determined not to remind my family about my birthday cuz i always did. I picked up my phone and switched my mobile data on as i usually put it off before sleeping (thanks to the Yellow mobile network that 'steals' your credits even when the phone hasn't been touched for hours...lol) and read a message from my lil sis who was sleeping ryt next to me, wishing me a happy birthday. I smiled at her and replied, thanking her for starting my day ryt. I picked a dress out of my wardrobe and leaped to go and iron it so that the lights do not betray me. Fun at the lorry station

A magnitude of fun burst out among numerous young boys and girls all over. Some chasing each other and others teasing and pulling the clothes of the other. These young boys are probably driver’s mates. The ones who have a touch of romance are seen trying to talk to the young girls who are selling one thing or the other in a pan on their hands. Some try to position the items in the pan properly for the young girls; all to score some romantic points...lol One thing you cannot fathom is what these young boys and girls are happy about. It’s an early morning at the lorry station with a lot of activities all over. Everybody is engaged in one thing or the other; calling out the names of the towns/ cities the vehicles are going to, pulling the clothes and hands of prospective passengers to climb on a particular vehicle, selling items your mind could imagine; from pepper to phones, preaching the word of God, selling songs on pen drives, etc. Despite all of these, the young boys and girl...
