Purple Birthday

My excitement kept growing that at a point i thought i will explode out of excitement as my birthday approached. Deep within i felt some joy that i don't remember ever feeling when  my birthday was approaching. As to why or what i was excited about, i cant tell. All i knew was that, my birthday was gonna be special.

I woke up in the morning, determined not to remind my family about my birthday cuz i always did. I picked up my phone and switched my mobile data on as i usually put it off before sleeping (thanks to the Yellow mobile network that 'steals' your credits even when the phone hasn't been touched for hours...lol) and read a message from my lil sis who was sleeping ryt next to me, wishing me a happy birthday. I smiled at her and replied, thanking her for starting my day ryt.

I picked a dress out of my wardrobe and leaped to go and iron it so that the lights do not betray me. I then made ready for my friend's wedding at 11 am. I was excited about the wedding not only cuz my friend was getting married but cuz i had another 'special friend' coming along with me to the wedding. Yeah, i said special cuz my friend is special..(don't ask me why lol).

I walked to the church premises together with my special friend and sat through the sermon till the end of the wedding. At a point in time during the sermon, i wanted the preacher to stop talking cuz the message seemed soooo directed at us...hehe...you know that kind of feeling ryt lol

My special friend and i walked back from the church after the wedding and that was when the purple birthday began.

It was simple but very complex, quiet yet soooo loud and small but very biggg. My 'Special Friend' asked what i wanted to do for the birthday and i equally asked that the choice be made for me.

...the location was strategic with a splendid atmosphere...

We walked in together and made for a seat which looked like we were actually sitting in the centre of the room...All that, which could possibly make for a great birthday treat, was unleashed on me...and all i could feel was...being loved.

We smiled, laughed, teased, and chit chat about so many things...the memories which keep playing over and over...

Everyone wants to be celebrated especially on their birthday and feel special. And it is amazing when friends celebrate you on that day. But its super amazing when that 'Special Friend' steps in and makes that celebration a memory...

...a memory which the minds doesn't seem to let go but keeps playing over and over again...a memory which is always accompanied by a genuine smile of gratitude and appreciation...

Thanks so much my 'Special Friend'...

You made my day 'Purple' and not 'Peach'...even though you seemed to like the 'peach' lol
