Things Fall Apart

Friendship has always been said to be the best way of living out the stressful life. Life has been full of stress, challenges and difficulties which are usually released on people we call friends. And friends come in diverse forms; parents, siblings, school mates, church mates, etc.
Friends have been the bedrock upon which we take comfort and inspiration. Sharing ideas and relieving each other of the stress is imperative in friendship among others. Friends have been a source of support through life’s changing scenes.
Notwithstanding, there are times when friends become the cause of the stress, challenges and difficulties we are running away from in life. It’s true that friends are mainly the ones who cause pain and heartbreak to us but I believe these should be occasional.
So therefore, what is the point of a friend or friends who is or are constantly causing you so much pain and difficulties in life? Friends who only give you some few minutes of stress-relief and then add hours of pain and stress. Friends who are self-centred and selfish with everything about them including their time; not to talk about money (hell no! for them). Friends who only avail themselves to you because of what they can get from you and how far you can push them up in their own vision. It’s so sad!
Some things are indeed worth fighting to have and to keep but others are indeed useless to fight for and so why waste your time, resources and energy on an unfruitful friendship?
I have always dreamt of sharing my success in life with friends who have seen me through from the beginning to the point or climax of my success; friends who have seen my humble beginnings to my glorious end. But if these friends are only in for what they can get from you all the time and then dump you when everything is all rosy for them then what’s the point in hanging around them?
Im sorry friends but im soooo out! If you want a good friendship with me, then you better prove your worth... I know im too known lol.
