Wobbling Love

Image
Bitter sweet, savvy sour and the likes is what you will use to describe it. Interestingly, it goes beyond that. I do not know how to describe it. At times it feels like eating an unripe fruit. At other times too it feels like eating a full grown fruit with all the ecstasy in the world. It has not been steady. A little bends here and there. It wobbles. Tossing to the left and then to the right. You may think that it probably has no root. No anchor whatsoever. Then you may also want to consider that it probably has a root and then go back to trace it. The very beginning of it. How did it happen? How did it start? Did it start right? Did it have a firm grip? Maybe nature is only paying me for the theft of it. How sad! Looks like pay day came too early. Too early at a time when a solid foundation has not been laid yet. Maybe, the soil on which it has been sown is not right. Just saying! The soil! Yeah, the soil may be problematic. Too much particles in the ...

‘TRUE’ LOVE DIES TOO

Image
Many have said that true love never dies. And their reason for saying is that when a person truly loves, they never stop loving regardless of how horrible and bad you treat such a person; and how often you despise that love. But I beg to differ! Love CAN die; even ‘true’ love! Regardless of how true one’s love is, it can die! Regardless of how bent on a person is to love and show nothing but love, that love can die if you keep despising it, throwing it to the dogs and treating it as though it does not matter. I believe everything one enjoys in life is a seed. A little seed which has to be sown, nurtured, cultivated and kept alive. Keeping it alive means ensuring that the seed grows in an environment that will aid its growth. It has to be given the basic needs for survival. You should give it ‘food’, then add ‘water’ and give it ‘shade’ to keep it warm or cold depending on the ‘weather’ conditions. You do not have to leave the seed alone and expect it to grow and giv...

Ceremonial Robes

Literature is one subject that I have grown to love.  I loved my literature class back at the Senior High School and was always eager to be in that class. Some wondered whether it was the subject I loved or the woman behind the subject. And this is a woman that everybody feared and was extremely careful when around her. You needed some tact to survive around her lol Well, I loved the woman very much and I loved the subject in equal proportion. You cannot fault me on that. It may have been my love for the subject that caused my love for the woman behind the subject or vice versa. Which ever that came first may really not matter; the love was there. I could never miss a literature class and oh! you dare not miss the class. Otherwise you will be haunted all the days of your literature life by this extremely firm and no-nonsense woman. She gave us a collection of poems which had to be studied and recited by heart or by mind; which ever way! Once you got the words out o...

Untrodden Bridge

Image
It has been said that a righteous man will fall down seven times and rise again. Even though this is scripture and has a spiritual connotation and denotation, it fits perfectly in our physical life, precisely in our everyday life. Many at times in our lives, we find ourselves at our lowest point. Lowest point in every aspect of our lives so much that we virtually fall down; flat on the ground. Our businesses may not be flourishing as we hoped, our careers may not be attaining the heights we expected, our grades may keep going below the pass mark or our finances may just be doing terrible. We are so low at this point of our lives that we begin to fidget and become jittery every step of the way. Not sure what the next minute or second will come with. It is at this point that our thoughts begin to race faster than they usually do and they race to places that scare us even more. It brings to us certain images that move concurrently with our lowest point. Images that ta...
